Experimental Cheerfulness
I have been experimenting with expressing my happiness with greater skill. Anthony Robbins makes a distinction between personal happiness and cheerfulness. Cheerfulness is how you communicate your happiness to others. Apparently you can be happy, yet not be good at expressing that happiness to others.
I have been attempting to increase my cheerfulness, that is, my ability to show how happy I am. So far my experiments have worked great. I have been able to significantly boost my own happiness, and the happiness of others to very high levels for about 30 minutes.
After making attempts to express my own happiness to others, it appears that those around me experience self-generated residual happiness. Generally, after my cheerfulness boost, others are attracted to me and want to spend more time with me.
I wonder if I can demonstrate cheerfulness for a longer duration than 30 minutes? What puts a time limit on my efforts is that I get distracted by other things.
