2 Ways to Be Happy No Matter What
There are two ways to be happy no matter what, and these two methods logically exhaust all of the possibilities.
1) Extract Happiness from Your External Environment
Explore your external environment; this includes things, people, situations and your senses. Focus on a single aspect of your environment and ask yourself any of these questions,
- “what about this makes me happy”
- “what about this is good”
- “what do I like about this”
- “what about this makes me laugh”
Your ability to be happy is directly proportional to your ability to extract happiness from your life in every moment of your life. Extracting happiness from life requires creativity, and it requires that you
- fully recognize the existing positive aspects of your life and
- creatively generate new beliefs that transform previously negative aspects of your life into positive ones
2) Be Happy For No Reason
Have you ever woken up from a night’s sleep filled with positive energy? You may have thought to yourself, why am I feeling happy now, and you probably did not have an answer. The secret to being happy for no reason is state change.
A person can consciously change his emotional state simply by making the decision to do so. State change involves consciously changing both your physical actions and thoughts. Simply act AS IF you are happy. Orchestrate this happy state so that all of your physical expressions congruently emit positive energy.
Now it is time to practice, practice and practice some more. Try to be happy in situations where you are not typically happy. Moreover, try being happier in situations where you find it easy to be happy.
