Byron Katie Book, Question Your Thinking
I have been intently reading Byron Katie’s book “Question Your Thinking, Change The World”, and I honestly believe that it is the most enlightening book that I have ever read. I know, I know. It sounds kitschy, but it is true. I am honestly impressed with the thinking that Katie does in this book.
I have read all four of Katie’s previously published books, and I few I read more than once. And yes, “A Thousand Names For Joy” (her latest book) is the best of the lot. But I am afraid that, if it comes to sheer concentration of insight, this book “Question Your Thinking, Change The World” is better.
Basically, I read a few excerpts EVERY day. And I constantly bug my wife and read out-loud the excerpt. We discuss it together afterwards. And Whoa, I am always just blown away at the insight.
Basically, for Katie, everything you believe is a story — and I mean EVERYTHING. Everything down to the idea that you even EXIST! Ha!
I am challenged every time I read this stuff.
In my opinion Ms. Katie, your words have more insight than even the words of Mohammed, Buddha and Jesus Christ. Yep - tons more insight. Katie is brilliant. Truly brilliant.
Until next time.

She’s right, even the idea of a personal self is just that, an idea. Byron Katie does write like Jesus or Buddha might have written because she is coming from the same space - the space of nothingness. If you like Byron Katie, you should check out the podcasts on urbangurucafe.com. They are examining the exact same stuff - the notion that all ideas are beliefs and have no truth in reality.
